1- Life isn’t always fair; accept it!
You probably have heard this before, unfortunately, it’s true, life is not fair, something it plays us dirty even after a good deed, so don’t stress and accept what happened and find a solution and if there are no solutions, time will help you heal.
Stop expecting life to give you what you think you “deserve.”
2- Your self-esteem is unimportant to the rest of the world.
Truth be told, there are a lot of people that will not care how you feel besides your family (in some cases), and only you are responsible to get up once you are down. You can seek help which in most cases dies help you get back up, but in the end, it’s all on you. So begin establishing a name for yourself and do it right now.
3- You won’t be earning a six-figure income after graduation; you’ll have to work hard to succeed.
Finishing high school or even college (with some degrees) will not make you rich, at least not at the beginning. A lot of people have the misconception that once you finish school you will become wealthy. Unfortunately is not that easy. However educating yourself is important, getting a degree can be as important, but what’s most important, is what you do with that education, how consistent you are and what you can create to become wealthy.
4- It is not beneath your dignity to flip burgers.
Accept that job you believe is beneath you as a stepping stone and swallow your pride.
Any job is a good job. Everything in life is a learning opportunity, every job, every experience. Every second that passes by we are learning something new.
5- It is not your parents’ fault if you make a mistake.
Stop blaming others and accept responsibility for your mistakes. No one else is responsible for your failures, your mindset, your decisions, and your lack of education are to be blamed for your mistakes. Take ownership, learn from them and get better.
6- Your parents know something that you are not aware of.
You might be thinking, your parents are boring but remember perhaps they weren’t. Every age has its good and bad.
7- While your school may have eliminated winners and losers, life has not.
Life doesn’t care if you are good at taking tests or not, if you are smart or not, life will just continue its course no matter what. Make good decisions and enjoy life.
8- There are no semesters in life.
Once life begins, it is impossible to stop it. Once you are born, there is only one way “forward” it does not stop or go back. So do something valuable with your time. Do not wait to accomplish your dreams, start early so you can enjoy yourself later on.
9- What you see on television is not representative of actual life.
People have to leave the coffee shop and go to work in real life. Sometimes we get caught up with some tv shows and we wish they were true, but unfortunately, it’s not. Tv shows usually end after 1 hour. Our lives continue without stopping.
