Steps to achieve a goal

1- Decide on your goal

This is the first step if you want to achieve your goal, and you can apply this to every goal you want to achieve. The best way to set up your goal for success is to use the SMART framework (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound). This will give you a clear understanding of your goal, how to measure it, and the time you need to achieve it.

2- Commit to the objective for the following 60 days.

Whatever goal you choose, consistency will make or destroy it. It’s as simple as that. Consistency is key, and it will play a big role if you want to achieve your goal. We recommend 60 days of full commitment. If you can give it more time, then please go ahead. Adding more time to your goal will just make it more achievable.

3- Add accountability

Some will say to keep your goals private because no one needs to know. Now, this can be true in some cases, but sometimes it’s better to make it public (of course in most cases you need to choose who to tell). Depending on what your situation is, and who is around you, it would be best to create some partnership with someone else who wants to achieve a goal, by doing this, you both will hold each other accountable and sometimes fear of disappointment will give you enough motivation not to quit on your goal.

4- Break down your goal

Break down your objective into as many little steps as you can.
Specific and practical measures should be taken. This way you will ensure that each mini step will be taken and achieved.

5- Discipline

Schedule daily “deep work” time.

Block aside the first 60-90 minutes of your day to focus on the exact things that will help you achieve your goal. Keep all distractions to a minimum. If possible and if you don’t need it. Turn off your phone. Get rid of all distractions if possible. Concentrate fully on what you are doing and if you face a challenge, try to find the solution right away. Repeat the process every day.
