Recipe for Panna Cotta

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons powdered gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons cold water

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  2. Remove the mixture from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a small bowl, sprinkle the powdered gelatin over the cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes to soften.
  4. After 5 minutes, whisk the gelatin mixture into the cream mixture until completely dissolved.
  5. Pour the mixture into 4-6 ramekins or glasses and let them cool to room temperature.
  6. Cover the ramekins or glasses with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the Panna Cotta is set.
  7. Once set, remove the Panna Cotta from the refrigerator and run a knife around the edges of each ramekin or glass to loosen the Panna Cotta.
  8. Invert the Panna Cotta onto a plate or serving dish, garnish with fresh berries or fruit, and serve cold.

Enjoy your delicious Panna Cotta!
